Head Down to Boise’s Original Farmers Market!

If you’re from Boise, you’ve probably ventured into the Saturday Market in Downtown more than a few times. If you’re new to the Treasure Valley come on out and experience some amazing local specialty foods, agriculture, and artisan goods!

AGRICULTURAL

For the freshest locally grown food, the agricultural vendors at the Saturday Market are second to none. From HIP Growers who are a new dual farm that grows their products with hydroponics and dirt to Maka’s Farm that assists refugees in participating in the local food economy both as growers and consumers, the variety of agricultural vendors are bright and plentiful. Check out the Spring Valley Flower booth where they fresh flowers and bulbs, and Treebrook Farm, out of Emmett, ID that’s dedicated to their passion for supplying the community with super fresh and healthy food.

ARTISAN GOODS

Pottery and jewelry and perfumes, OH MY! The artisan artists featured at the Saturday Market are extremely talented and filled with passion about their crafts. Stop by Weaving Colors and check out beautiful hand woven shawls, scarves, blankets and home decor. Or pick up some amazing handcrafted soaps and bath products (including shaving creams & oils) from High Desert Soap Co. If you’re in the market for some unique jewelry, swing by Bliss Stamped Jewelry and create something beautiful with a personalized hand stamped piece.

SPECIALTY FOODS

Idaho residents love to support local business. And what better way to get acquainted with all the fantastic locally owned businesses than to peruse the specialty food vendors at the Saturday Market! Hailing from Middleton, ID, Boise’s Best Kettle Korn isn’t just Boise’s best, it’s the worlds best! And from Hammett, ID, comes Cold Springs Winery that grows and bottles all of their delicious Idaho wines. If you’re a fan of bleu cheese,  grab a sample at the Boise Bleu booth and find out what makes their bleu cheese so unique!

The Saturday Market on 8th St. is held every Saturday from 9:30am-1:30pm between April 15th and December 16th. This locally cherished event has been going on since 1994 and has grown every year. From Treasure Valley farmers to local bakers to talented artists, the Saturday Farmers Market is packed with incredible goods and services that are overflowing with Idaho pride.
