Welcome to Eagle, Idaho!

This booming city between the Boise River and the foothills has grown by almost 70 percent in the last 15 years. With a current population of 21,000, Eagle was recently lauded as the “Happiest Place in Idaho”. This is where you will find the well-known Eagle Island State Park and a quaint historical downtown with shops, offices, and restaurants. Eagle Island State Park provides residents with over 510 acres of trails and various fun activities including fishing, swimming, waterslides, and hiking. The city has easy access to McCall to the north and all the recreational opportunities of the Idaho Mountains. Eagle is well funded and makes continuous improvements to its portion of the Boise River Greenbelt and its parks and public water features.

Often referred to as a premier community of Idaho’s Treasure Valley, Eagle is located a short 10-mile drive from the west side of Downtown Boise. The city prides itself on an attention to family values and forward-thinking business growth. Many large companies are headquartered in Eagle like Con Agra and T-Sheets. There are also a number of homes for retirees – including townhomes and condos.

Situated between the Boise River and the foothills, the historic downtown feels like a turn-of-the-century western main street complete with an old bank building and two-story stone hotel. Old fashioned street lights, tree-lined streets, a commitment to parks and trails systems, pedestrian-friendly walk and bikeways, and master-planned neighborhoods connected to the Greenbelt system are just a few of the attractive benefits of owning a home in Eagle. Additionally, property values in Eagle have remained solid and the public infrastructure is some of the best in the state.

Popular restaurants include Bardenay Restaurant & Distillery, Bella Aquila, The Stuffed Olive, Bodacious Pig, and Rembrandt’s. The Hilton Garden Inn is an upscale scenic hotel that overlooks a bend in the Boise river right near downtown. If you enjoy golfing then Eagle is a wonderful place with both the Banbury and The Club at Spurwing country clubs. Much of Eagle’s character is also due in part to the many spacious and well-maintained parks and green spaces.
