Emily Dishman is a Location Leader and Founder of Walden Real Estate Group. She learned some of the most fundamental lessons in real estate before she became an agent. In 1999, she was a young mother determined to create financial security for her family by investing in real estate. After contacting several agents, she became frustrated by the realization that they weren’t listening to her needs, and were instead suggesting properties that were either out of her budget, or a bad fit. Always a problem solver, Emily became an agent herself and put the lessons she learned as a buyer into action, by working hard, listening attentively, and never losing sight of her genuine desire to help clients achieve their real estate goals. The result of this client-focused approach has been over two decades of repeat business and referrals from happy clients.
A top-producing agent whether the market is high or low, Emily gets clients what they want by using effective negotiating strategies, world-class marketing, and a vetted network of industry professionals. She’s open and honest when the stakes are high, and decisions are challenging. This has led her to be a trusted source not just for buyers and sellers, but for local contractors; having closed on over 300 transactions for builders.
Dedicated to advancing the real estate industry as a whole, Emily has served on the MLS Board as president-elect and has chaired committees for privacy policies and professional standards. At the state and national level, Emily participates in identifying trends, exploring legislation, and learning about litigation risks.
The idyllic natural setting in Coeur D’Alene is what drew Emily to make it her home. She takes every opportunity to explore nature’s playground with her two grown children and grandchild, kayaking on alpine lakes, hiking in true wilderness, and camping in the great outdoors.
